I crochet, therefore I am
Home

Welcome to, "I crochet, therefore I am." I have been crocheting since 1972 when my grandma sat me down at the tender age of six and gave me a hook. I truly love anything and everything crocheted. Creating items that are both beautiful and useful is at times challenging, but always rewarding.

In the past 4 and a half years, my dreams have started to come true. Three of my original designs have been published in Interweave Crochet magazine. I was honored to receive 2 Blue ribbons at the NC State Fair in 2009 for my original afghan  designs. What a joy to finally have myself and my creations, "out there." You might be able to catch me at some of the local craft shows in Fishers, IN which is home base.  After donating over 100 of my brimmed hats to local womans shelters in Raleigh, NC and designing and crocheting many custom items for friends, neighbors and family, it was time to expand, hence this website and my Etsy Shop: www.etsy.com/shop/icrochetthereforeiam   When I look back at the nearly 40 years of "hooking", I am truly amazed at how far this wonderful craft has traveled.  Back then, it was all about granny squares, which are back in!  As you browse through my photo gallery, you will see how my designs and ideas have changed and grown.  As an artist using the medium of crocheting, the materials I use have blossomed and are only limited by my imagination.

I currently reside in Fishers IN with two of my four children as two have left the roost. I also have a wonderful grandson who keeps "Grandmama" on her toes. In spite of the daily tasks of being a mother, wife and grandma, I try to make time to create, design and crochet every day and feel blessed that I have such a supportive and loving husband. Thank you, Brock.
